VIRTUAL
PLANOGRAM and Electronic Directives System sample Projects
done for
Purpose: This four-year program included development of Interactive Electronic Directives System (EDS), a customized tool for producing seasonal store layouts created by our team specifically for Macy's virtual merchandising department.
It is equipped with the virtual tour of the prototype store, incorporating numerous informational hotspots and multimedia instructions.
EDS featured various access levels providing customized data access by job function: from store manager to merchandising clerk, and also by various store types, to accommodate 900 stores in 45 states.
Benefits: Company-wide savings in travel and accommodation expenses, due to EDS providing enhanced level of detail and being accessible 24/7.
Improvement of information transfer efficacy, increased productivity during store seasonal setup activities, decrease in errors and overall improvement in accuracy of visual merchandising. Created new horizontal and vertical communication channels within the company. EDS represented enhancement over the 1000+ pages printed flipbooks.
